Blacksmith and Wood Worker
My name is Joseph Staup, but many know me as Reb. I am a veteran of the U.S. Airforce. I started in Civil War Re-enacting and eventually found a need for fairly priced metal work.
I began blacksmithing in 2004 catering to the needs of the re-enacting crowds and started woodworking in 2014. I have also been the blacksmith for the Union Mills Shriver Homestead since 2005 – 2021 and have now in 2022 taken over the wood shop for the Homestead.
We do many events through the year in and around Westminster, Maryland, from town festivals to the Carroll County Farmers Market at the Agricultural Center.
I am also a member of the Blacksmith Guild of Central Maryland and the Mid-Maryland Wood Turners club.
